J. Madison Miller

J. Madison Miller, age 84, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and formerly of Philadelphia and Ocean City, NJ passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:47AM at his home in Upper Sandusky.

Madison was born on May 2, 1928, in Philadelphia to Cyrus and Dorothy Miller.
He married Edith Furman on February 17, 1951 in Philadelphia (East Falls), Pennsylvania, and she survives.

Madison was father to three sons, Stephen Miller (married to Andrea) of Truckee, California, Jonathan Miller (married to Jenni Bacon Miller) of Upper Sandusky, and Philip Miller (married to Denise) of Weston, Florida. He was blessed to have 5 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Lauren, Grace, Christopher and Rachel Miller.

Madison followed in his father's footsteps as a stockbroker, retiring several years ago after more than four decades in the business. His home church in Upper was 1st Presbyterian. As a dad, he enjoyed coaching and playing sports with his sons. As a grandpa, he delighted in watching and hearing about his grandchildren acting in shows, singing and playing in concerts and competing in sports. He loved his wife Edie's cooking.

A memorial service celebrating Madison's life will be announced at a later date. It was
his wish for his body to be cremated. He was inspired by the 23rd Psalm and the hymn Amazing Grace.
