Ireta L. Ruth

Ireta L. Ruth, 87, of Upper Sandusky, died at 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland.
Born October 7, 1928 in Bucyrus, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Miriam (Dapper) Blackford. She was married to Earl A. Ruth for 23 years.
Surviving are her children: Larry (Carolyn) Ruth of Upper Sandusky, Karen (Gene) Nedolast of Bucyrus, Duane (Barbara) Ruth of Nevada, and Norma (Michael) Hetzel of Upper Sandusky, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a great great grandson, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 brothers: Lloyd Blackford of Bucyrus and John Blackford of Florida, a sister, Jean Hayes of Galion, and longtime companion, Gary Balliett of Ashland.
Ireta was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky. She enjoyed sewing and ballroom dancing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, September 30, 2016 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Elaine Clinger-Sturtz officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus.
Visitation will be from Noon to 2:00pm on Friday, September 30th at Lucas-
Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
