Irene R. Orians, age 92, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 08, 2013 at 7:55AM at her home in Upper Sandusky.
Irene was born on May 12, 1920 in Kirby, Ohio to John and Isabella (Elchert) Miller, both of whom are deceased. She married Woodrow L. Orians on Jan. 27, 1940 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kirby and he passed away on April 8, 1981.
Surviving are 12 children, Roger J. (Friend, Ruth Ann Frey) Orians of Wharton, Joyce A. (Friend, Paul Swartz) McMillan of Upper Sandusky, Michael A. (Sandra) Orians of Carey, Sue M. (Wayne) Derr of McCutchenville, Anthony O. (Kristin) Orians of Upper Sandusky, Philip J. (Gloria) Orians of Harpster, Charles M. (Diana) Orians of Upper Sandusky, Linda R. (David) Mangett of Arlington, Rebecca J. (Dennis) Eyestone of Upper Sandusky, Debrah L. (Larry) Thiel of Upper Sandusky, Elaine B. (Robert) Niederkohr of Upper Sandusky, Douglas E. (Melissa) Orians of Winterville, North Carolina and son in law, Kenneth (Teresa) Stark of Upper Sandusky. Along with 38 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna M. Stark, 6 sisters, Rose Collet, Marie Dible, Corrine Emerine, Angeline Kear, Martha Kingman, and Hilda Miller and 2 brothers, Francis and Joseph Miller.
Irene was a homemaker and a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky. Along with the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, and the St. Joseph's Rosary Altar Society.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30AM, Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky with Rev. J.R. Hadnagy OFM Conv.. Burial will follow at Salem St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 10, from 2:30PM to 8:00PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, with a Christian Wake Service to be held on Sunday at 2:00PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Wyandot Memorial Hospital, St. Peter's School, Salem St. Joseph Heritage Society and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
