Henry E. Schuster, age 93, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, at his home in Upper Sandusky, surrounded by his family.
Henry was born on July 30, 1929, in Little Sandusky, Ohio, to Elmer and Lydia (Hickman) Shuster. Henry was married to Ann Marie Koehler on June 25, 1953, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, and she survives in Upper Sandusky.
Henry is also survived by 5 children, his son Steve (LuAnn) Schuster of Nevada, their children: Jeran Pollock, Shad Pollock, Divena Smith, Aria Houghtland, and Xavier Houghtland, and their grandchildren: Briley, Caden, Karsyn, Brinnen, Turner, Lily, Avy, Hudson, and Riggins, his daughter Christine Tredway of Columbus, his son Robin (Tina) Schuster of Upper Sandusky, son Jim (Kathy) Schuster of Upper Sandusky, and their children: Nichole Bame, Brittney Soucek, and their grandchildren: Carter, Chase, Charlie, and Joey, his daughter Sue (Mark) Bartson of Van Buren, and their children: Preston Wise, Lauren Wise and Alexa Bartson. Henry is also survived by his dog Lucky.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, 12 siblings and his guardians: Burt and Mary Zimmerman, and Adam and Minnie Paul.
Henry attended Salem High School and joined the US Air Force in his Senior year where he served during the Korean War, on the 19th maintenance Squad while stationed in Guam. After he returned from service, Henry started Schuster's Painting, worked for Whirlpool in Marion, and later started Schuster's Builders and Remodeling/Construction.
Henry enjoyed woodworking, mushroom hunting, playing cards – especially going to the American Legion to play Euchre and Canasta
with his family. At one time Henry had a pet pony and donkey that he would bring out for parades.
Henry loved spending time with his family – especially his grandchildren.

Visitations for Henry will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, at Old Mission Cemetery, and will be officiated by Pastor Barry Halter Jr. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Upper Sandusky Color Guard.
