Helen M. Robertson

Helen M. Robertson, of Upper Sandusky, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

She was born in Blossburg, PA, on May 22, 1937, to the late William Sr. and Joyce (Bedore) Ruby. She married her true love, Arch Junior Robertson, on July 1, 1955; and they celebrated 40 years of marriage before his passing in 1996.

Helen is survived by her two sons: Rodger (Sandra) Robertson of Doylestown, and Richard (Elaine) Robertson of Alexandria, OH. Also surviving are her five grandchildren: Amy, Danielle, Laura, Natalie, and Megan Robertson. Her brother, Robert "Nick" Ruby of Sadsburyville, Pennsylvannia; sister Martha "Betty" Shinkle of Zanesville, OH; and half sisters, Edna Boyer, Shirley Smith, and Elizabeth Ward of Upper Sandusky also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother William Ruby, Jr.; half brother Daniel Ruby; and a half sister, Alice Burks.

Helen valued her family, but she truly cherished her granddaughters. Their laughter and pictures filled the home that she and Junior had built together. She always maintained records so she could pass the family legacy on to them and their descendants.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, April 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and 1 hour before the funeral service on Thursday at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Funeral services for Helen Robertson will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky; with her nephew, Pastor David Robertson, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
