Hazel M. Johns, age 88, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died
Friday, March 27 at 9:00pm at Fairhaven Retirement Community in Upper Sandusky.
She was born on October 23, 1920 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Harry and Flossie (Snavely) Kissling. She married Curtis Leroy Johns on November 9, 1940 and he is deceased.
Surviving are four sons: Lester (Barbara) Johns of LaRue, Ohio; Cliff (Mindy) Johns of Upper Sandusky; Pat (Amy) Johns of Forest; Steve (Shirley) Johns of Upper Sandusky and a daughter, Betty (Bob) Noggle of Defuniak Springs, Florida.
Hazel has 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Gwendolyn, who died in infancy and a grandson. Also 2 brothers, Lester and Carl Kissling and 4 sisters, Wilma Barth, Mabel Steinhelfer, Dorothy Alspach and Velma Williams.
Hazel was a homemaker and operated the concession stand at Harrison Smith Park for many years. For hobbies, she enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and when her husband was living, they enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing together.
