Harrison Scott Baker

Harrison Scott Baker, II, age 58, died June 29, 2008 at his home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

He was born on March 12, 1950 in Marion, Ohio to Stanley and Starling (Dixon) Baker, both of whom are deceased.

He is survived by a brother John Baker and his fiancee Diana Lawrence, of Mims, Florida along with one nephew Christopher G. Baker of Titusville, FL, two nieces Caroline R. Baker of Cocoa Beach, FL, and Natalie S. Baker of Cocoa Beach, FL.


Scott graduated from Marathon High School in 1968 and then went on to graduate from Florida State University in 1972 receiving his bachelor's degree in International Affairs. He then received his MBA in 1980 from Florida State University.

Scott was an Aircraft Maintenance Manager for Eastern Airlines for many years. He was a member of the Son's of the American Revolution, and Ohio Pioneer Society. For hobbies Scott enjoyed researching and writing aboth the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the Civil War and taking part in Civil War Reenactments. He also was interested in computer technology and was a Microsoft Certified System Engineer.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 11 at 3:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. The Rev. Mike Brown will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Wharton-Richland -Union Cemetery in Wharton, Ohio.

Visitations will be on Friday, July 11 from 2pm - 3pm, 1 hour before service time, at the funeral home at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home

Memorials contributions may be sent to the Sons of the American Revolution - Scholarship Fund in care of Lucas-Batton Funeral Home 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
