Glenna M. Walters

May 22, 1926 — February 17, 2018

Glenna Marie Walters, better known as "Grammy," went home to her Lord & Savior on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

She was born on May 22, 1926 in Lima, Ohio to Edgar Leroy & Gertrude (Jones) Fisher.  Growing up in Lima with 3 brothers and 6 sisters helped mold Glenna into the special loving person she was, always with a kind word of encouragement for each life she touched.

On December 20, 1944, she married Dwight E. Walters and together they raised six children. Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight Walters, her sisters, Edna Fisher, Jeanette Young, Susie Stephenson, Juanita Budd, Eleanor Lepley, & Betty Ruckel, brothers; Bob Fisher and Ed Fisher, daughter Rebecca Ann Walters, and granddaughter, Michelle Lynne Forry.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Fisher of Delphos, Ohio; many special nieces and nephews; and her children, Dennis (Sophie) Walters of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Marsha (Gary) Forry, Morral, Ohio, Karen (Allan) Webb, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Larry (Marijane) Walters, Anna, Ohio, Nancy (John) Cordle, Pataskala, Ohio, and Pamela (Ed) Reed, Cardington, Ohio.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Brent (Maggie) Walters, Brandon Walters, Ashley (Nick) McClellen, Scott (Stephanie) Forry, Brad (Linda) Forry, Heather (Erik) Bussey, Ryan (Joan) Forry, Angie (Gary) Debolt, Tammy Webb, Craig (Angela) Walters, Amy (Jamie) Rohde, Jeff Cordle, Matthew (Melissa) Reed, and Seth (Tiffany) Reed.

Grammy's life was further enriched by the love of 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.  Relying on her faith and trust in Jesus, she spent her lifetime as an inspiration and encourager for all of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Her family would like to thank all the nurses, aides, and volunteers at Heartland of Marion for the care and love they graciously gave to Grammy over the past three years.

Family and friends may attend visitation from 11:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Steve Rath officiating.  Burial to follow at the Grove Cemetery, Kenton, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be sent to RP Foundation or Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, and can be forwarded to the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
