Gertrude Eileen Fleck - Zoll, age 84, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died
Monday, April 19, 2010 at 10:22pm at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

She was born on October 16, 1925 in Scio, Ohio to Fred and Ruth (Abel) Lightner, both of whom are deceased. She
married John E. Fleck on October 3, 1945 in the St. Peter's
Rectory and he died December 17, 1975. She then married
James Zoll and they were divorced.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Sandra (David) Clinger of Upper Sandusky, Connie (Michael) Young of Bucyrus and Kathy (Ralph) Hart of Bucyrus. Grandchildren, Joanna "Jodi" Troxel, Debra (Allen) Hardymon, Dennis (Michele) Young, Steven (Sheri) Young, Matthew (Rhonda) Feasel, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Greeley, along with 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Zoll is also survived by a brother, Ronald (Betty) Millinger of Maxie, Virginia, a sister, Doris (George) Brown of Deersville, Ohio, sister in laws, Mary Jane Fleck of Upper Sandusky, and Ann Lightner of Cadiz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, brothers, Melvin "Pete" Lightner, John Paul Millinger, and a sister and brother in law, Betty (Dudley) Thompson and brother in law, Robert Fleck.

Gertrude graduated from Jewett High School in 1943 and lived in the Scio area most of her young life. Shortly after marrying John, she started working at Sheck's Grocery in Upper Sandusky, which is now Willson's Grocery, and retired in 1978.

For hobbies she enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing cards, cooking, and attending the Wyandot County Fair with her long time friend, Miriam Goodman. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Gertrude Eileen Fleck-Zoll will be held at 11:30 am Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Jackie Underhill officiating the services. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held on Thursday April 22, 2010 from 10:00am - 11:30am at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
