Gerald Lee "Gary" Kennedy

Gerald Lee "Gary" Kennedy, age 72, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died at 12:20pm on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Gerald was born on July 10, 1937 in Marseilles, Ohio to George Norvin and M. Margaret (Dillion) Kennedy both of whom are deceased. He was first married to Linda Everett, and they were divorced, he then married Darlene Wilson and she survives in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Gerald is survived by one son, Cpl. Heath Kennedy of Ft. Lewis, Washington, three daughters: Bronwyn Jo (Tommy R. Jr.) Perkins of Acworth, Georgia, Allison (Richard LaRaviere) of Sarasota, Florida, and Elizabeth Janda of Kennesaw, Georgia. Sixteen Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive.

He is also survived by a brother, Mervin (Vicki) Kennedy of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and two sisters, Carol Smith of Upper Sandusky, and Janet Sue (John) Churlik of Young Harris, Georgia.

Gary was retired from Venice Hospital in Venice, Florida, were he worked
as a radiologist for 23 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a
a graduate of Marseilles High School Class of 1955. Gary graduated
from Manatee Community College with a degree in radiology.


Gerald was of the Methodist faith and attended Marseilles United Methodist Church. He was a member of the former Marseilles F&AM Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, making furniture, and reading , especially history.

Funeral Services for Gerald Lee "Gary" Kennedy will he held at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with the Rev. Mary Curtis officiating the services. Burial will follow at Fehl Cemetery in Wyandot County, Ohio.

Visitations will be held from 1pm - 2pm on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
