Genevieve L. Suter

Genevieve L. Suter, age 101, of East Lansing, Michigan and formerly of Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 4:42am at Burcham Hills in East Lansing, Michigan.

She was born on October 15, 1911 in Bellevue, Ohio, to Victor C. and Olivia A. (Sondergeld) Queen. She married Paul L. Suter on March 17, 1932 in Collins, Ohio, and he died on April 16, 1993.

Genevieve is survived by a son, John (Patricia Kacerguis) Suter of Denver, Colorado, and a daughter, Mary Lou (Dallas) Kane of Lansing, Michigan. There are also 4 grandchildren surviving, Kimberly Sager, Kevin Johns, Paul Suter, Jack Suter and 6 great grandchildren.

Genevieve was a homemaker and before her marriage to Paul, she worked for North Ohio Telephone Company in Bellevue.

She was a long time member of the Nevada United Methodist Church, where she was active as a Sunday School Teacher, former church council member and past president of the United Methodist Church Women.

For hobbies, Genevieve enjoyed sewing, creating flower arrangements, traveling, reading, and playing cards and table games.

Funeral services for Genevieve L. Suter will be held at 11:00am Monday, October 7, 2013 in the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, located at 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Burial will be at Nevada Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 one hour before service time at the funeral home.
