Gary E. Holdcraft

Gary E. Holdcraft, age 77, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 surrounded by family at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

He was born on September 25, 1942 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Robert and Josephine (Vent) Holdcraft and was married to Jenny Shepherd for 33 years and she survives.

Gary was survived by his children; Mark (Sonya) Holdcraft of Murfreesboro, TN, Donny Rhoden of Naples, FL, Mike (Michelle) Rhoden of Naples, FL, Lisa (Adam) Garcia of Willard, OH, Christine Jarrell of Upper Sandusky, and Chas (Bob) Nichols of Upper Sandusky as well as 24 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Pam Rhoden, a brother Dan Holdcraft, a sister Peggy Holdcraft, and three grandchildren; Kyle, Adam and Kaylynn, and his beloved dog, Daisy.

Gary worked as a truck driver and retired from the Wyandot County Recycling Center. He also volunteered as a Wyandot County Auxiliary deputy Sheriff. He was a member of the Warpole Lodge #176 F&AM. He enjoyed going line dancing, riding his motorcycle, watching baseball and football, and lounging with his dog Peaches.

A memorial service for Gary Holdcraft will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with Brother Ted King officiating.

Visitations will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, January 9, 2019 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
