Gail R. Stouder, age 80, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at his home in Upper Sandusky.

He was born on November 6, 1929 in Lancaster, Ohio, to Russell C. and Alpha May (Woodgear) Stouder, both of whom are deceased. He married Rose M. Smith on June 11, 1948 in Greenup, KY and she died September 8, 1990.

Gail is survived by a daughter, Susan Kay Hutchinson of Upper Sandusky. A brother, Donald (Jean) Stouder of Hocking Hills, Ohio. He is also survived by his stepmother, Ann Stouder of Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister, Phyllis Hutchison and a son in law, David Hutchinson.

Gail retired in 1991 from the Ohio Department of Transportation
in Wyandot County. Before that he had worked for Highline as
a crane operator and Wyandot County Highway Department.

He attended the Church of the Nazarene in Upper Sandusky. He was a former member of the Moose, where he bowled and called bingo and he also was a former member of the Eagles, both in Upper Sandusky. He also was a member of the local union #71, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

For hobbies Gail enjoyed going to horse races and watching all sports, and mowing his yard, growing roses and his dogs, "Angel" and "Abigail" and his cat, "Solo". Gail was one who blessed many with his love of cooking and baking, especially his stuffed peppers,

Funeral services for Gail R. Stouder will be 1:30pm Tuesday, November 10 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Ben Gregory officiating. Burial will
follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio.

Visitations will be on Monday, November 9, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home
in Upper Sandusky.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Humane Society, the Church of the Nazarene or Hospice of Wyandot County and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
