Franklin H. Ulrich

Franklin H. Ulrich, age 78, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022, at his home in rural Upper Sandusky.

Frank was born on September 12, 1944, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Lewis C. and Dorothy M. (Pfeifer) Ulrich and they preceded him in death. Frank was once married to Barbara Price and she preceded in him in death on December 3, 2014. Frank was then married to Sheila Gail Aldridge, and she preceded him in death on July 4, 1998.

Frank is survived by 5 children: Kelly (Jesse) Ulrich of Columbus, Todd (Nancy) Ulrich of Upper Sandusky, Amy (Chaz) Hutton of PA, Lisa (Micah) Fratangelo of Apple Valley, and Julia (Brody) Boggs of Mt. Vernon, 9 grandchildren: Dregan, Dakoda, Lola, Luca, Parker, Abby, Toby, Sawyer, and Jude, sister Rita (Larry) Bennett of Upper Sandusky, many nieces and nephews, and his 2 beloved dogs: Jack and Jill.

Frank graduated from USHS class of 1962 and served on the Ohio National Guard. He worked on the family farm for many years, at the Kuenzli Quarry, Walton Grain Elevator in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Department of Transportation, Mike Wolfe's Lime and Stone Hauling, and then Kotterman Lime and Stone Hauling until his retirement.

Frank loved his classic cars, Harley Davidson, taking his Mom to sprint car races, tractor pulls, and to the derby. He also enjoyed spending time outside, going fishing, mowing his yard, and farming. Most importantly, Frank loved his family and loved spending time with them. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Upper Sandusky.

A funeral service for Frank Ulrich will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and will be officiated by Rev. Kathleen Shuck. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitations will be held two hours prior to the service, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Saturday.
