Frank B. Larick, age 72, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 6:03pm at his home surrounded by his family and friends, following an extended illness from his contact with Agent Orange during the service.
Frank was born on September 19, 1949 in Tiffin, Ohio, to Russell and Lillian (Barnett) Larick. He married Pat (Minard) Lambrite on November 9, 1988, sharing 33 years of marriage, and she survives in Upper Sandusky.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jason (Samantha) Larick, Ben Larick, Nathan Lambrite, and Kyle Lambrite. Along with a sister, Becky Jerew, and sister in law, Mary Jo Larick and many nieces and nephews, and a former brother in law, Eric Vehrs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Russ Larick.
Frank graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1968. While in school, he played in many sports, but was most proud of holding the one mile track record.
He was drafted into the US Army and spent 6 months in basic training and artillery school. Soon after, he was sent to Vietnam, where he received many medals from combat, including the Purple Heart and 3 Bronze stars for bravery.
Upon returning home, Frank worked at Claycraft Brickyard for 11 years. Soon after that, he began working for the Upper Sandusky Post Office, from which he retired due to health reasons, after 25 years of service.
In his younger years, Frank and Pat enjoyed riding their motorcycle together, and also going to many car shows with his 1967 Chevelle Supersport that won over 300 trophies, including Best of Show, and Best Street Machine.
He also coached Little League baseball for 12 years, of which he had 4 undefeated seasons.
A public memorial service for Frank B. Larick will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Bicentennial Park in Upper Sandusky, with Chaplain Steve Sturgeon officiating, and the Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard officiating.
The family will receive family and friends an hour before service, 12:00pm to 1:00pm, on Saturday.
