Frances Marie Fox

Frances was born on May 4, 1920 in Tiffin, Ohio, and was the daughter of Bert and Hazel Beard Fadley. She died on June 3, 2008 at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, where she had been a resident for the past several years.

She is survived by her husband Merle Fox of Fairhaven Community whom she married December 4, 1940. Also surviving is a son, Charles (Alberta) Fox of Salem, KY, and a daughter Carol Ann (Giles) Fox Logsdon of Upper Sandusky, OH.

Frances leaves behind eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by a brother Therman Fadley.

A life long resident of Wyandot County, Frances was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. She spent most of her life as a caregiver taking care of her invalid mother. Her hobbies were few since her time was totally devoted to loving and caring for her family. Still, she found time to play the piano and organ at church, volunteered to cook and serve food for many years at the Elks and Knights of Columbus, and assisted at the card clubs and bingo nights. She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Sycamore before transferring to St. Peter's -Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky. Her favorite relaxation was a good game of gin rummy.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 6, 2008 at The Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky. The Rev. Kent Kaufman will be officiating with burial in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, June 5 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Memorials are requested to be made to the Alzheimer's Unit at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and may be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
