He was preceded in death by an infant son Alec Walker Bacon.
He was class President and graduated from Sycamore High School in 1942 and served in Italy in the navy in World War II. He graduated and received his Juris Doctor of Law from The Ohio State University.
Forrest established his legal practice Roth and Bacon Attorneys with Harold Roth in Upper Sandusky and Sycamore and retired from active practice in 2004. He served as Wyandot County Prosecutor for twenty years. Roth and Bacon Attorneys continues with his son David, nephew Jeffrey Roth and granddaughter Jessica Moon.
He was director emeritus of the First national Bank of Sycamore, Paul Harris Fellow and member of Rotary International, a Mason and member of Zenobia Shrine. Forrest was a member and served as an elder and deacon for the First Presbyterian Church of Upper Sandusky.
Forrest enjoyed building projects, the family vacation cabins in Canada, travels with Ruth and their many friends, flying his airplane, the swimming pool he built and spending time with friends and family. He was a reluctant "star" of many of his wife's Star Players productions.
He will be remembered for his love for his wife Ruth and family, his care and concern for others, his humor, wise counsel, generous spirit, and weakness for chocolate ice cream.
