Florence N. Mohre, 87, of Crawfordville, FL and formerly of Upper Sandusky,
OH, died 10:45 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Big Bend Hospice in
Tallahassee, FL.

She was born Monday, November 20, 1922 in Upper Sandusky, OH., daughter of
the late Sam and Muriel (Smith)Schlup. She married Paul I. Hoover in 1942
and he preceded her in death in 1956. She later married Robert L. Mohre in
1961 and he died in 1984.

Surviving are a son, Paul "Randy" (Myrna) Hoover of Crawfordville, FL, a
daughter, Muriel (Larry) Thornton of Florence, AZ., a grandson, Paul Scott
Thornton of Phoenix, AZ, a granddaughter, Tiffany M. Hoover of
Crawfordville, FL., three step-grandsons; Avery Tubbs, Justin Unger, and
Tyler Unger, and five great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were two sisters; Alice fox and Wanda Ulrich.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church and a former member of the Order
of Eastern Star 366 both in Upper Sandusky, OH..She was a 1939 graduate of
Upper Sandusky High School.

Florence retired from the Social Security Office in Marion, OH. where she
was secretary for many years. Tired of retirement, she became the Director
of the Wyandot Chapter of the American Red Cross in Upper Sandusky in 1975.
A position she held for almost 16 years, retiring in1991.

Friends will be received 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the
Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, OH.

Graveside services will be held at Old Mission Cemetery, Thursday, November
11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev Charles Steward officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyandot County Chapter of the
American Red Cross c/o the funeral home.
