Eunice M. Boggs

Eunice M. Boggs, age 95, formerly of Nevada, Ohio and most recently of Maplecrest Assisted Living in Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 08, 2011 at 9:00am at the Bucyrus Community Hospital in Bucyrus.

Eunice was born on March 13, 1916 in Nevada, Ohio to Russell and Leta Markley. She married Orville R. Boggs on August 24, 1936 in Kansas City, Kansas and he died February 5, 1994.

Surviving is a son Norman and his wife Kathy, Boggs of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and a grandson, Wesley Boggs of Mt. Gilead.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ivan and Albert Markley.

Eunice was a homemaker and also worked for many years in the cafeteria of the Nevada Elementary School.

She was a member for many years of the Nevada United Methodist Church in Nevada. She was also a of the Bucyrus Chapter #3 O.E.S. and the former Nevada Chapter of the O.E.S. of which she was a member for 70 years. She was a member of the former Stitch & Chatter of Nevada and for hobbies Eunice was a collector of many things.

Funeral services for Eunice M. Boggs will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Matt Garrabrant officiating. Burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery.

Friends may call an hour before service time, 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the funeral home.
