Emily J. McClintock, age 93, of Nevada, Ohio and most recently of
Goshen, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Greencroft Community
Healthcare Facility in Goshen.
She was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on November 5, 1918 to C.N. and Ada (Scholl) Jump, both of whom are deceased. Emily married Raymond M. "Mac" McClintock on August 31, 1938 and he died on October 17, 1992.
Surviving are 3 children: Raymond (Barbara) McClintock of Huntsville, Texas, Susan (Monroe) Kalb Yoder of Goshen, and Dennis (Jane) McClintock of Colorado Springs, Colorado along with eight grandchildren, Ronald McClintock, Heidi McClintock, James Kalb, Jackie Kelly, Joshua McClintock, Jeremy McClintock, Ian McClintock and Brandon McClintock and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister Lucille Shawk.
Emily was a homemaker and in her earlier years had worked for Swan Hose in Bucyrus. She was a graduate of Holmes Liberty School and went on to attend
Bowling Green State University.
Emily was a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church where she was a former member of the United Methodist Women. She was member of the Bucyrus Chapter #3 Order of the Eastern Star where she was a 50 year member and a past Deputy Grand Matron. She was also a member of the Pythian Sisters #412 Nevada Temple where she was a 60 year member and served as a District Deputy for 3 years and served as Grand Chief in Ohio in 1984-1985. Member of the Imperial Santha Nomads of Avrudaka # 79 Findlay. She also was a former member of the Nevada Fireman's Auxiliary serving as district secretary for several years.
For hobbies, Emily enjoyed gardening and tending to her beautiful roses, feeding the birds and she enjoyed watching sports, especially the Wynford Royals and the Cleveland Indians.
Funeral services for Emily M. McClintock will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Jerry Kalb and Matt Garrabrant officiating. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada. There will be an Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7:30pm on Wednesday follow by a Pythian Sisters Memorial Service at 7:45pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the either to the Crawford County or Wyandot
County Council on Aging and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 401 S. Main St. Nevada, OH 44849
