Elizabeth O. Dingus

September 18, 1918 — April 22, 2009

Elizabeth O. Dingus, age 90, of Upper Sandusky and formerly
of Morral, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 5:54am
at the home of her dear friends, Herb & Dee Conn in
Upper Sandusky.

Elizabeth was born on September 18, 1918 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Archie and Alice (Music) Sisco both of whom are deceased. She married Sant F. Dingus on April 10, 1937 in Waverly, Ohio and he died on April 16, 1985.

Surviving Elizabeth are two sons: Harry E.(Connie) Dingus of Morral, Ohio, and Sant (Vickie) Dingus Jr. of Jacksonville, North Carolina, a daughter: Opal Jean (Charles) Williams of Harpster, Ohio. Eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild survive along with a special niece, Louise Stevens of Morehead, Ky, along with other numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers: Everett, Jarvey, Oscar, and Thomas Sisco, and three sisters: Eula Lee Sisco, Victoria Cordele and Minnie Reece.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and was a member of Marion Free Will Baptist Church in Marion Ohio. She was a member of the Amvets #777 Ladies Auxiliary, former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge, and Eagles Auxiliary #2184 all in Upper Sandusky. Her hobbies included quilting, bird watching, and she loved to visit with family and friends and was one always to enjoy a good laugh with others.

Funeral services for Elizabeth O. Dingus will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held on Friday April 24, 2009 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Lucas- Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County in care of Lucas-Batton Funeral Home 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
