Dwight (Ike) E. Barry

Dwight "Ike" E. Barry, age 75, of Marion, Ohio died on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 12:15 AM in Marion, Ohio.

He was born on February 17, 1937 in Forest, Ohio to Howard and Clarabelle (Foreman) Barry both of whom are deceased. He married Ellen Joyce (Quay) Barry and she is deceased. He is survived by his long time friend and companion Joyce Hamm.

Ike is also survived by two sons, Max Barry of Marion, and Michael Barry of Marion, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four brothers, Howard Barry Jr. of Kenton, Allen (Vivian) Barry of Marseilles, Charles (Roberta) Barry of Big Island, and Vernon Barry of Marion, and two sisters, Phyllis Haney of Marion, and Carolyn (Bruce) Tackett of Cardington..

Ike was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Barry and a brother Richard.

Ike graduated from Meeker High School and went on to work at Tecumseh in Marion and later at Whirlpool in Marion. For hobbies he enjoyed horse races and following sports.

It was Mr. Barry's wish to donate his body to the Ohio State University Medical School and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
