Dwight E. Dairy, age 66, of rural Harpster, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 20, 2013.

Dwight was born on April 7, 1947 in Marion, Ohio to John E. "Jack" and Annabelle Mae (Swartz) Dairy. He married Rosemary Galitza, and shared over 35 years together.

He is survived by 3 children, Melissa Stiltner of Marion, Jacob (Stephanie) Dairy of Nevada, and Leah (Benjamin) Branford of Dublin, along with 4 grandchildren, Andrew and Meghan Stiltner and Mason and Addisyn Dairy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son in law, Dean Stiltner.

Dwight is also survived by 2 brothers, Robert (Deb) Dairy of Pensacola, Florida, and Mark (Anita) Dairy of Nevada, and a sister, Deborah (Jack) Leslie of Upper Sandusky.

Dwight was an electrician having worked for over 35 years in his trade and was currently working for Custom Agri-Systems in Upper Sandusky.

He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam. Before entering the service, Dwight was a 1965 graduate of Wynford High School.

Dwight was a very artistic person and was a member of the Whetstone Wood Carver's Club. He enjoyed wood carving, making items such as bird houses, canes, wooden bowls and sculptures. He was also a naturalist at heart, where he enjoyed being outside in nature, either by gardening, fishing, or searching for arrowheads in nearby fields.

He also was an avid reader of anything non-fiction, and enjoyed
watching boxing, listening to the "blues", and spending time
with his grandchildren.

Services for Dwight E. Dairy will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Ohio Historical Society, and or the Ronald McDonald House or a Charity of the Donor's Choice and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
