Dorraine Lynn Gibson

Dorraine "Rainy" Lynn Gibson, age 59, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away at 12:05 AM on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Dorraine was born on August 15, 1962, in Upper Sandusky, to Glenn and Nancy (Hayes) Gibson and they preceded her in death. She was once married to Robert Hill and he survives in Bucyrus.

Dorraine is survived by 2 sons: Travis and Jordan Hill both of Bucyrus, 2 granddaughters: Nyla and Charlotte Hill. She is also survived by her siblings: Diane (Chip) Conley of Carey, Duane (Kelly) Gibson of Upper Sandusky, and Dean Gibson of Newark.

Dorraine was preceded in death by her son Cory James Hill.

Dorraine graduated from Upper Sandusky High School, class of 1980, and later attended North Central Tech College, Brown Mackie College where she received her Associate degree in Criminal Justice, and Everest College where she received her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice where she graduated summa cum laude. After high school, Dorraine went on to work at Continental Hose in Upper Sandusky until 1991, and then went on to work at Walmart, Honda, IB-Tech in Bucyrus, and then for General Electric for the past 12 years.

Dorraine loved coffee, enjoyed going to rock concerts, and making all kinds of crafts. Most of all, Dorraine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Visitations for Dorraine will be held from 4:00 -7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky with Chaplain Steve Sturgeon officiating.
