Dorothy M. Prince

Dorothy M. Prince, age 74, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on December 11, 2020 at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Dorothy was born in Waverly, Ohio, on February 22, 1946 to Thurman and Pearl (Conley) Ward.

Dorothy is survived by her 5 children: Bob (Jill) Barnett of Upper Sandusky, Teresa (Fred) Lewallen of Wharton, Jimmy Barnett of Nevada, Mike (Tiffany) Barnett of Marion, and Luann McCleese of Upper Sandusky, along with 11 grandchildren: Josh Lewallen, Mindy Rogers, Jessi Hemmelgarn, Hannah Gonzalez, Abby Lewallen, Tabby Adkins, Luke Barnett, Kaydence Jolley, Jhett Miller, Maverick Barnett, and Ruger Barnett, and 6 great grandchildren with a 7th great grandchild on the way. Dorothy is also survived by her brother Edgar Ward, and 3 sisters: Frances Shorts, Nancy Crates, and Rita Barnett.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers: John, Robert, and Donald Ward.

Dorothy was a member of Upper Sandusky Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years and loved attending church to hear Pastor Ben Gregory preach on Sundays. She worked as a nurse's aide at Fairhaven Community for several years, a dietician at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, and was a baby sitter for many years as well.

For hobbies Dorothy enjoyed doing puzzles and crosswords, she collected dolls, made jewelry, spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she loved to go shopping.

A funeral service for Dorothy Prince will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Pastor Ben Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home.
