Donna L. Von Derau

Donna L. Von Derau, 50, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died at 3:40 am Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Marion General Hospital in Marion Ohio.

Donna was born January 20, 1957 in Carey, Ohio to Jacob & Ruth (Mundy) Vaughn and both are deceased. She married Shawn Von Derau on April 4, 1980 in Carey, Ohio and he survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Ashley Von Derau & Dawn Von Derau, both of Upper Sandusky: six sisters; Viola Fletcher of Carey, Ohio, Shirley Holman of Carey, OH, Margaret Jackson of Carey, OH, Jean Flugga of Findlay, OH, Faye Moyers of Carey, OH & Sue Vaughn of Upper Sandusky, OH. Donna also had a special place in her heart for her niece, Annie Moore.

Donna was preceded in death by three sisters Rosie Cook, Elsie Moran & Nancy Gatchell and also one sister that died in infancy and two brothers that died in infancy.

Donna worked for Interim Healthcare in Findlay, Ohio as a Home Health Aid. Prior to that, she had worked at Blackhawk Industries in Upper Sandusky for 7 years.

Donna was a member of the Marseilles United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a mother and loved spending time with her family.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Burial will be held at the Chandler Cemetery in Marseilles, Ohio. The Rev. Timothy Benjamin will officiate. Friends may call on the family from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Tuesday, August 7 also at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
