Donald W. Denney, age 76, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died on Wednesday May 28, 2008 at his home.
Donald was born on March 10, 1932 to Herbert and Loreen (Henke) Denney in St. Mary's, Ohio of who are both deceased.
Surviving Donald is a brother, Richard (Betty) Denney of West Lafayette, Indiana and a sister, Eva (Carl) Prenzlin of Findlay, Ohio and a special niece Connie Gillen of Upper Sandusky along with other numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: William P. Denney, Robert L. Denney and David Denney.
Donald had worked for the Chief Dairy in Upper Sandusky and the Upper Sandusky Parks Division. He recently was taking care of the outside maintenance
for an apartment complex in Upper Sandusky.
Donald attended Upper Sandusky High School and was an Army Veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of varies clubs including the American Legion #225, the VFW Post 2842, Amvets Post #777, Eagles Club #2184, Moose Lodge #1093, and the Wyandot County Sportsman Club. Some of his hobbies included history in general but he especially enjoyed war history. He was a gun collector and trader and really enjoyed donating food and his time at the various American Legion events.
Mr. Denney was cremated and Memorial Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be sent the the Donald W. Denney Memorial Fund and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
