Donald E. Carr, age 81, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 6:00am in the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio, after a brief illness.

He was born on September 13, 1932, in Wyandot County, Ohio, and was the son of Carl and Emma (Telthorster) Carr, both of whom are deceased.
Mr. Carr is survived by a son Gary of Bucyrus, and 2 daughters, Dian Hufford of Tiffin, and Debra Carr of Upper Sandusky. Along with a grandson, Kenneth (Kadia) Hufford, Columbus, and a granddaughter Crystal Meade, of Forest, Ohio, and a great-grandchild, Justin Hord, Forest.
He is also survived by 2 sisters, Karen Nickerson of Crystal, Michigan and Arlene Ahlefeld, of Upper Sandusky, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Steven and a sister Theda Heinlen.
Donald was retired from the maintenance department at Timken in Bucyrus after 42 years.
Graveside services will be held Nevada Cemetery and will take place at a later date. Lucas-Batton Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.
