Donald C. Biederman, age 92, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 3:36am in The Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Donald was born on May 8, 1923 in Harpster, Ohio to Roy and Celia (Terry) Biederman, both of whom are deceased. He was first married to Lucille McLaughlin, and they were divorced. He then married Marilyn McClain on October 24, 1953 at Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky and she passed away on January 29, 2008.

He is survived by 4 sons, Phil Biederman of Marion, Lyle (Cheryl) Biederman of Bucyrus, Kevin (Jackie) Biederman of Galion, and Dana (Kim) Biederman of Caledonia, and 1 daughter Lori (Jeff) Reidenbaugh of Marion, along with 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and 7 step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Bash.

Donald was 1941 graduate of Marseilles High School and a World War II veteran of the Army-Air Corps having served in the Rhineland and European Theater.
He retired after 38 years in telephone communications having worked for North Electric in Upper Sandusky and Galion, Northern Ohio Telephone Company, GTE in Marion, and then retiring from United Telephone in Mansfield.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Bucyrus, Stone Crossing in Upper Sandusky, and a former past president of the Starcraft Campers Club, Ohio Chapter.

For hobbies Donald enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, and in his younger years after the war, he helped his father build homes in the area.

Funeral services for Donald C. Biederman will be held at 1:00pm Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, where a military graveside rites will be conducted by the Marion Veterans Council Honor Guard.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, December 13, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and 1 hour before service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
