D.Jacob "Jake" Davidson

D. Jacob "Jake" Davidson, 16, of Upper Sandusky, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from injuries sustained in an accident at the intersection of State Hwy 23 and Township Hwy 44 near Upper Sandusky.

Jake was born on February 25, 1999 in Marion, Ohio to Thomas and Barb (Ley) Davidson, who survive in Upper Sandusky.

He is survived by 3 sisters, April (Ben) Oney of Powell, Ohio, Andrea (Chris) Zahumensky of Cincinnati, and Amber Davidson of Cincinnati.

Jake adored his 5 nieces and a nephew, his 3 aunts, Lynn, Carla, and Cassie, along with their families, and the many relatives in Bucyrus. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Serenety Hooper of Upper Sandusky.

Jake was a junior at Upper Sandusky High School, where he participated in football, band and FFA.

He was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky, and Boy Scout Troop #125 of Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies, Jake enjoyed hunting, and was a wildlife enthusiast.  He loved raising chickens with his Great Aunt Winnie, and enjoyed helping his dad build the addition on their family home and spending time with his dog, Hunter Duane.

Jake will be remembered by how he blessed everyone he knew with his genuine, unique, creative and goofy personality.  He will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, Monday, February 1, 2016 , at the Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church with Rev. J.R. Hadnagy, OFM Conv officiating. Burial will follow at Salem St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with a Scripture Service to be held at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, the U.S.H.S. Music Boosters, or the Boy Scout Troop #125-Philmont Trip, and all can be forwarded to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
