Diane L. Swihart

Diane L. Swihart, age 60, of McCutchenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015
at her home in McCutchenville.

Diane was born on November 13, 1954 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Eugene and Emily (Caldwell) Swihart. Her father is deceased, and mother, Emily, is living in Upper Sandusky.

She is survived by a son, Brandon Swihart of Tiffin, a sister Debra "Debbie" Swihart of Findlay, and a brother, Kim Swihart of Upper Sandusky, along with a niece, Emma Swihart.

Diane was a 1973 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. After visiting Colorado on a trip, she immediately fell in love with the scenery and moved out there and worked for a time, before moving back to Ohio in 1995 to be closer to family.

She currently was employed for the past 16 years Fairborn USA Inc. in Upper Sandusky, where she worked as a purchasing agent for the company.

Diane was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in McCutchenville.

She was a very artistic person, and enjoyed photography, oil painting and ceramics. She also had a love for animals, and was an active advocate for the humane society and their care of all animals. She also enjoyed taking care of her pets, which included, her 2 boxer dogs, horses and rabbits at her home.

Diane also had a heart for helping others and a love for her family, especially her son, Brandon, who was everything to her. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Diane L. Swihart will be held at 2:00pm Friday, October 16, 2015, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Joe Trester officiating. Burial will follow at Little Sandusky Cemetery.

Visitations will be held Thursday, October 15, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and 2 hours before service time on Friday, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
