Dennis Paul Krock, age 54, of Upper Sandusky, passed
away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 6:00pm in Blanchard
Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio.

He was born on July 2, 1955 in Upper Sandusky to Paul F. and Ruby (Essinger) Krock. Dennis's father is deceased and his mother is living in Upper Sandusky. He married Tina Thiel on
June 22, 2002 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky
and she survives.

Dennis is survived by a sister, Christine (Ron) Kemerley of Arlington, Ohio. A brother, John (Becky) Krock of Upper Sandusky. Mother in law, Rosa Thiel of Upper Sandusky, brothers in law, Matt (Brenda) Thiel of Upper Sandusky, John Thiel of Upper Sandusky and Steve (Donna) Thiel of Findlay, and an
aunt, Kathryn Gottfried of Upper Sandusky.

He is also survived by the following nephews and nieces, Jason Kemerley, James (Jessica) Kemerley, Tim Krock, Josh (Kristy) Thiel, Jake (Kerri) Thiel, Rachel Thiel, Marcus Thiel, Curtis Thiel, Emily Thiel, Ben (Sarah) Thiel, a great niece Jamie Lynn Kemerley, and a special
family to Dennis, Mark (Stephanie) Beaschler and their children.

Dennis worked for the Upper Sandusky School System for 30 years. He was a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky where he sang in the choir and served the church
as a youth advisor, deacon and council member. He was a member of the Upper Sandusky Lions Club where he presently was serving as the "tail twister", and also was a past president and a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. He also served as an advisor with the Leo Club at USHS. He currently was the vice president with the local United Way. And was also a past president with the Wyandot County Cornhuskers Association.

For hobbies Denny enjoyed playing his tuba in the community band, and being a part of the Star Players. He was also known as "Santa Claus" for the past 39 years to many young and old. Denny enjoyed antique cars and trucks, making wine, woodworking, collecting Santas, Lion Pins, and SOHIO memorabilia. His love of family, friends, the students of USHS and the community was always so paramount to Dennis, and thus he lived his life accordingly.

Funeral services for Dennis P. Krock will be held at 10:30am Saturday, November 7, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Joe Trester officiating. Burial will follow
at St. Mary's Cemetery outside Kirby with Rev. Bob Dendinger
conducting graveside rites.

Visitations will be held on Friday, November 6, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service time at the church on Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lions Club - Echoing Hill's Handicapped Camp, The United Way in Upper Sandusky, Wyandot County Home Healthcare or the Music Dept. of USHS and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
