Dennis E. Howell, age 69, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and formerly of

Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 3:48am

At Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care, Upper Sandusky.

Dennis was born on March 2, 1948, in Lima, Ohio to Jesse M. and Mary Louise (Furry) Howell, both of whom are deceased.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Sally (Rodney) Ruth of Sycamore, and Melissa (Judson) Brooks of Quincy, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Ruth, Gwen Ruth, Brad (Maria) Howell, Travis Brooks and Joel Brooks; along with 2 sisters, Brenda (Dan) Cash of Marysville, Ohio, and Leanne Jackson of Lima.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters, Jackie Shelly and Elaine Howell.

Dennis was a graduate of Shawnee High School in Lima and went on to serve his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He attended the Bucyrus United Methodist Church and enjoyed following NASCAR and in his younger years drag racing.

A Memorial Service for Dennis E. Howell will be held at 7:00 pm, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Bucyrus United Methodist Church Worship Center, Bucyrus Ohio.

Visitations will be held prior to the service from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday in the Worship Center
