Del E. Armstrong

Del E. Armstrong, age 64, of Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Sycamore, Ohio, passed away on January 24, 2023, at the Emergency Room of Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton, Florida.

Del was born on May 28, 1958, in Bucyrus, Ohio to Merritt E. Armstrong and Lillian Burkhart, both of whom are deceased.  He is survived by his step mother Mary (Searls) Armstrong of Upper Sandusky.

Del was first married to Marsha Batton, and then married Kathy Beamer and she survives in Upper Sandusky. Along with his children, Brock (April) Armtrong, and Kelsey (Josh) Thammarat, both of Upper Sandusky.

He is also survived by his siblings, Troy (Angie) Armstrong of Bucyrus, Ohio, Marc (Donna) Searls of Findlay, Ohio, and Matthew Searls of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Teresa (Buddy) Seitz of McArthur, Ohio, Hope (Chris) Leightey of Ray, Ohio, and Vickie (Jim) Stansbery of Milton, Florida.

Del had just retired having worked for Heritage Cooperative Inc in Upper Sandusky, and also driving the mobile medical bus, Wyandot On Wheels, for Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

He was a long time member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky, where he was active in caring for Camp Trinity.  He also had been attending Trinity Evangelical, Upper Sandusky.

Del enjoyed fishing, canoeing, bicycling, or camping, and just being outside in general, and drinking his Pepsi, which was usually in his hand.

He will be remembered for his loving spirit to help others in any way that he could.

The family will have a visitation for Del on Monday, January 30, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky
