Dean A. Sanford

Dean A. Sanford, age 48, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio
died Thursday, December 11, at 12:01am at his home
in Upper Sandusky.

Dean was born on March 21, 1960 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Melvin C. Sanford of Upper Sandusky and Ruby J. (Roberts) Adams. He then married Patricia Ann Thiel on February 27, 1987 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Dean is survived by his wife and parents, a step father: Bert Adams, a son: Christopher D. (Erin) Lynch of Maineville, Ohio, two daughters: Kimberly A. (Jason) King of Chesapeake, VA, and Valerie R. (Noah) Meier of Ashley, Ohio, and four grandchildren: Sierra, Emma, Corrin, and Jenna.

Dean worked at Fairborn USA in Upper Sandusky, for 3 years, where he was a shipping supervisor. He previously worked at Guardian Industries in Upper Sandusky, for 23 years.

Dean was a member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #83. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, enjoyed playing golf, and loved his Scoonie dog. His greatest joy was his family and nothing was better than spending time with them. He was a devoted husband, dad, and papa.

Funeral services for Dean A. Sanford will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Charles Steward officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 2:00pm - 7:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with an Elks Memorial Services held at 7:00pm.
