Dawn M. Griswold

Dawn M. Griswold, age 43, of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at her home in Upper Sandusky.

Dawn was born on September 10, 1982, in Marion, Ohio, to William “Bill” and Debra (Boes) Griswold. She was preceded in death by her dad, Bill, who passed away in 2021. Debra (Dave Lear) Griswold is living in Upper Sandusky.

She is survived by her daughter Bailey O’Flaherty of Carey, a brother Cory (Anna) Griswold of Upper Sandusky, and nieces Olivia Griswold, and Katie Barrett, and nephew, Wyatt Barrett, and a special friend, Kurt O’Flaherty of Carey.

Dawn was a 2001 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to work for First Citizens National Bank, O.F. Machining, and as a preschool teacher with OLC, all in Carey.

She enjoyed traveling, and spending time at Lake Erie, Lake Cumberland, and Florida.

Dawn will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her ornery personality along with her deep love for others, and being a true friend that always had an encouraging word, and someone you could count on to be there for you.

Her love for life was evident for all that knew Dawn, in her courageous fight the last few years with cancer.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, June 6, at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Brother Randy Kin and Pastor Betsy Bowen officiating.

Visitations will be held 3 hours before service time, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Dawn to the OLC Preschool Program and can be sent to Lucas Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
