David E Ritter

David E. Ritter, age 65, passed away on February 7, 2023, at The Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

David was born on March 18, 1957, in Upper Sandusky, to Robert E. Ritter and Kay Frances (Althauser) Ritter, both of whom are deceased.  David was once married to Nettie Patchett.

He is survived by his children, Dana (Bryan) Swartz of Upper Sandusky and Dani (Phil) Lininger of Sycamore.  Also, surviving are his grandchildren, Wyatt Swartz, Parker Patchett and  Payten and Piper Lininger and great-grandson Jasper Patchett.

David is also survived by his sisters Angela (Gene) Brengartner of Tiffin and Denise Ritter of Upper Sandusky.

He was preceded in death by his sister Tina Ritter and a grandson, Elijah Swartz.

David was a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to serve in the US Navy.  After getting out of the service, he worked in maintenance in local manufacturing companies.

For hobbies, David enjoyed socializing, riding motorcycles, and coin collecting.

A memorial service for David Ritter will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Pastor Eric Anderson officiating.

Visitations will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Lucas-Batton. Memorials may be made to the Fairhaven Community, or Promedica Hospice and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
