Cresencio Valdez Guitierrez

Cresencio Valdez Guitierrez, age 65, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2026, in Marion.

Cresencio was born on September 14, 1960, in the town of Nicholas Romero, in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. He married Robertina Morales Salinas on May 16, 1979 in Palmeros, Mexico,  and she survives in Marion.

He is survived by his 2 sons: Manuel Valdez Morales, and Javier Valdez Morales, and 5 daughters: M. Loreto Valdez Morales and her husband Juan, Guadalupe Valdez Morales, and her husband Leonel, Maribel Valdez Morales, and her husband Abelardo, Marisol Valdez Morales, and Yesenia Valdez Morales and her husband Genaro, along with 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Cresencio was retired and recently moved to Marion. He attended the Spanish masses at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marion. He enjoyed watching animals and nature and also spending time with his family

A funeral service for Cresencio will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, March 27, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351 with Father Daniel Colby officiating. Immediately following the funeral, the family will have a time of visitations until 8:00pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion County Humane Society, or the American Diabetes Association and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
