Constance L. "Connie" Sayre

Constance L. "Connie" Sayre, age 69, of Marion, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 4:00am at her home in Marion.

She was born on December 8, 1941 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Robert J. and Goldie (Day) Greenich, both of whom are deceased. She married Tommy Sayre on November 21, 1986 in Meeker, Ohio and he survives.

Also surviving are their children, James McMichael of Bucyrus, Tony Whitlow and his partner Steven Meade of Westerville, Ohio, Grant Sayre of LaRue, Shelley Thiel of Upper Sandusky, Vicky (Marvin) Hamm of Marseilles, and Ginger (Bryan) Bryant of Marseilles. Also surviving are the following grandchildren, Tyler Whitlow of Phoenix, Arizona, Wesley Sayre, Jessica Sayre, Cassie Sayre, Brianna Sayre all of LaRue, Joey Thiel of Upper Sandusky, Erica Thiel of Upper Sandusky, Derek Shepherd of Marseilles and Kyle Bryant of Marseilles. 2 great grandchildren, Lucas and Gage Thiel. And a sister Tammy Hauck of Crestline and Dick Greenich of Oregon, Ohio, and sister in law, Mrs. James (Brenda) Greenich of Crestline.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wayne Nagle and James Greenich and a sister Betty Maix.

Connie was a homemaker and for hobbies she enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping. She collected "snow babies" and enjoyed singing karaoke and she loved her pets, especially her dogs "Baby" and "Bugger" and her cat "Chloe".


Funeral services for Constance L. Sayre will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with the Rev. Mary Curtis officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Chandler Cemetery in Marseilles, Ohio.

Visitations will be held on Friday, January 14, from 3-5p and 7-9pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
