Colene E. Beidelschies

Colene E. Beidelschies, age 85, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 2:30am at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

She was born on March 5, 1930 in Arlington, Ohio, to Harlow C. and Eva T. (Essinger) Traucht. She married Allen L. Beidelschies on March 28, 1951
in Arlington, and he passed away on May 12, 2010.

Colene is survived by four children, Paul (Kathy) Beidelschies of Arlington, Phillip (Charlene) Beidelschies of Upper Sandusky, Beth (David) Smith of Upper Sandusky, and Gene (Tammy) Beidelschies of Forest, Ohio, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and granddaughter, Ruth Ann Beidelschies.

Colene was a member of the former Bethany Lutheran Church in rural Upper Sandusky and then transferred upon the closing of Bethany to First Lutheran church. She taught Sunday school for over 50 years, and also was an officer with the Lutheran Church Women, from the local level to the National Board level. She was currently a member of Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky.

She also was a board member for many years with Wyandot Memorial Hospital and also served as a 4-H advisor.

Funeral services for Colene Beidelschies will be held at 10:00am Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, May 6, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
