Clyde T. Young Sr

Clyde T. Young, Sr., age 88, of Nevada, Ohio died Friday, March 13, 2009 at 2:51am at his residence in Nevada.

Clyde was born June 21, 1920 in Vanceburg, Kentucky to Earl and Nora (Blankenship) Young, both of whom are deceased.

He is survived by his special friend, Brinda Dyer of Nevada and 3 sons: Tom (Diane) Young of Wendell, Idaho; Bob (Carol) Young of Wendell; and Donald (Barbara) Young of Lacey, Washington. And also a daughter, Linda (James) Van Gorder of Boise, Idaho. 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and a son in law Glenn Leach of Boise
also survive along with 2 brothers, Richard Young of Tiro and Clifford Young of Bucyrus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Connie Leach and 4 brothers, Herb, Coy, Otheil and Harry.

Clyde retired as a supervisor at Bucyrus Blades. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the Army and having participated in the
following campaigns of Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland.

He was a life member of Amvets Post 1979, VFW Post 1078, American Legion Post 181 and the Moose Lodge, all in Bucyrus.

For hobbies, Clyde loved to fish and hunt, play cards with friends, gardening, in earlier years and just doing anything outside.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital or a charity of the donors choice and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 401 S. Main St. Nevada, OH 44849
