Christine M. Hensel

Christine M. Hensel, age 70, of Marseilles, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 9:30am at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

Christine was born on September 27, 1949 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Clarence and Elizabeth (McBeth) Huffman, both of whom are deceased.  She married Scott L. Hensel on June 23, 1967 on Lowry Air Force Base, Denver Colorado and he survives.

She is also survived by 2 children: Brett (Sharon) Hensel of San Antonio, Texas, and Brenda (Jeremy) Lamb of Upper Sandusky. 4 grandchildren: Emma Hensel, Nathan Hensel, Levi Lamb and Lexi Lamb.

Christine is also survived by her brother, James (Patricia) Huffman of Findlay, and a sister, Diane Elliott of Toledo.

She was a 1967 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and retired from Chase Bank in Upper Sandusky after 34 years.

Christine was a member of Marseilles United Methodist Church, and The American Legion Auxiliary Post #225.

For hobbies she enjoyed spending time with family at Lake Erie, watching Upper Rams sporting events, along with OSU football and basketball.

Funeral services for Christine M. Hensel will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Chaplain Steve Sturgeon officiating.  Burial will follow at Chandler Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Saturday, August 15, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home and the family suggest casual attire.

Due to Covid-19, facemasks will be required for all who attend the visitations or funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County or The Ram Boosters and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio  43351.
