Christa M. Caldwell

Christa M. Caldwell, age 77, of Upper Sandusky and formerly of Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 9:58PM at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Christa was born on October 24, 1935 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Elmer and Evelyn (Spaid) Baker both of whom are deceased. She married Gary Caldwell on October 27, 1957 at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Bucyrus, Ohio and he died on February 12, 1995.

Surviving Christa are two sons, Charles (Sharon) Caldwell of Nevada, and Doug (Kim) Caldwell of Upper Sandusky, a daughter, Annette (Ted) Moone, six grandchildren,Dustin and Jarrod Caldwell, Shelby and McKenna Caldwell, Devin and Denton Koons.

Christa was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, John Baker.

Christa was a homemaker and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies Christa enjoyed going to parades, following Nascar and her driver Jeff Burton, crocheting, needle work, and watching the home shopping network. She also enjoyed camping with friends, traveling and going to the upper peninsula in Michigan, something she did as far back as her childhood.


Funeral services for Christa M. Caldwell will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada, Ohio with the Rev. Joe Trester officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Nevada Cemetery. Visitations will be held on Sunday, February 3, from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada.
