Chase W. "Chaser" Cook, 12, of rural Kenton, died Tuesday morning in the Hardin Memorial Hospital emergency room.
He was born December 2, 1998 in La Grange, KY to Steven E. and Christina M. (Pierce) Cook and they survive in rural Kenton.
Surviving are a brother, Cohan D. Cook, at home, maternal grandfather, William B. Pierce of Rutland, , paternal grandparents, Jim E. and Mary C. Foster of Madison, IN, maternal great grandmother, Maxine E. Shaw of Sardis, maternal great grandmother, Delores I. Hushour of Sycamore, and paternal great grandmother, Catherine V. Hupertz of Hanover, IN.
Preceding him in death are maternal grandmother, Sandra E. Bentz and paternal grandfather, Duane E. Cook.
Chase attended Simon-Kenton Harco Industries in Kenton. Living his entire life with Cerebral Palsy did not slow him down. He lived by the motto "Just because I'm handicapped doesn't mean I can't do what you do." Going to school, jet skiing, enjoying family vacations, and tormenting his little brother were just a few things he did.
Friends will be received Friday, August 05, 2011 from 5 - 8 pm at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
The funeral service will be held at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, August 6, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating.
