Charles R. Prince, age 74, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 2:30pm at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.
He was born on December 24, 1940 in Carter County, Kentucky to Arthur L. and Edith (Nunley) Prince, both of whom are deceased. Charles married Barbara Ard on April 11, 1960 and she passed away on June 22, 1981. He then married Linda Little-Frank and they divorced.
Charles is survived by 2 daughters, Susan (David) Barb of Marion, and Kathy Prince of Upper Sandusky. 4 grandchildren, Barbi Redmon of Nevada, Brandy (Joe) King of Nevada, Jason Detwiller of Upper Sandusky, and Ashley Detwiller of Upper Sandusky, and a great grandson, Logan Detwiller.
He is also survived by a brother Herman Prince of Nevada, and 3 sisters, Dorothy Ard of Nevada, Sarah VanBuskirk of Nevada and Susie (Bob) Blankenship of Nevada.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 6 brothers, Lonnie, Zulus, Albert, James, Donald Sr., and Raymond who died at infancy
Charles worked for Mills Metal in Upper Sandusky for many years, and attended at one time the Nevada Lutheran Church in Nevada.
For hobbies, he like hunting, fishing, bowling, and in his younger years playing softball, and he really enjoyed his coffee.
Funeral services for Charles R. Prince will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Steve Malone and Tim Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.
Visitations will be held from11am to 1pm on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home in Upper Sandusky.
