Charles E. Heinlen, age 87, of Bucyrus, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026 in Alliance, Ohio.

Charles was born on January 28, 1939, in Bucyrus, Ohio to the late William and Mary (Haycook) Heinlen. He married Nancy (Oberlander) Heinlen on May 18, 1968 at the Lykens E.U.B. Church. She passed away on December 31, 2022.

He is survived by his three daughters, Valorie (Joe) Dale, Christy (Doug) Beggs, and Michele (Jay) Fisher all of Alliance, Ohio and seven grandchildren Savannah Dale, Sierra (Dylan) Milhoan, Madison Beggs, Jordan Beggs, Caleb Beggs, Hannah Fisher and Cassidy (Alex) Norr. He was preceded in death by his brothers Donald, Wayne, and Raymond Heinlen and his sister, Barbra Beighley.

Charles was a 1958 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School. He retired in 2001 from the Timken Distribution Center where he was a computer conveyor operator for 36 years.

He enjoyed serving others, traveling, mowing the lawn, and tinkering in his garage. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Funeral services for Charles E. Heinlen will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will take place at Brokensword Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Trinity Church in Upper Sandusky.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, or Prison Fellowship and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
