Charlene S. Koehler, age 62, of Marion, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 28, at 1:30am at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, after a
courageous battle with cancer.

Charlene was born on January 23, 1948, in Bucyrus, Ohio to John D. and Mary S. "Sue" (Schindler) Koehler. Her father is living in Morral Ohio, and her mother is
deceased.

Charlene is also survived by her brother Samuel and his wife, Becky Koehler of Wharton, Ohio, and a sister, Rosemary and her husband,David Craig of Morral,
along with 4 nephews and nieces, Steven and his wife, Theresa Koehler of Wharton, Cindy and her husband, Patrick Frey of Columbus, Jennifer Craig of Upper Sandusky and Matthew Craig of Findlay, 2 great nephews, Zakery and Hunter Koehler and a great niece Maci Craig.

Charlene graduated from Ridgedale High School in 1966 and she continued
her studies graduating from Lima Memorial School of Nursing in 1969. She spent time in nursing serving Mt. Carmel East and Children's Hospital, both in Columbus. She then moved to Marion and worked for a time as a nursing
supervisor at the former Medcenter Hospital in Marion, and then continued
as a registered nurse with Home Health and also Hospice with Marion General Hospital.

Charlene was a life time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky, where she was active with the Women of the Church, and was a former president. She also attended First Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky.

Charlene was active with Marion County Relay for Life with her group, "The Butterfly Bunch". For hobbies she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, especially baby booties, and was known to be a "collector" of many things.

Funeral services for Charlene S. Koehler will be held at 10:30am, Monday February 1st. at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Revs. Joe Trester and Jarrod Schaaf officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
