Cecil L. Clark, age 90, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 2:55pm at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio.

Cecil was born on April 3, 1919 in Marion County to Lemuel and Mary M. (James) Clark. He married Myra A. "Mitzi" Pollard on January 31, 1946 in North Brunswick, New Jersey and she died April 30, 1992.

He is survived by 3 sons: Larry A. Clark of Marseilles; James A. (Kathy) Clark of Forest; Wayne A. (Ruth) Clark of Upper Sandusky and 2 daughters: M. Evelyn (James) Getz of Forest; Lu Ann (Ron) Miller of Marseilles. 12 Grandchildren and 30 great grand children also survive.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter who died in infancy, a great granddaughter, Lydsey Myra Briggs and 3 brothers, Roy, Joseph and Gerald and a sister Geraldine.

Cecil retired from the US Army as a Sergeant Major with the 251st with the Reserve in Kenton. He also worked as a carpenter and mason for many years in the Upper Sandusky area.

He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, and a life
member of the VFW Post 2842, and Pheasants Forever along with Farm Bureau all in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies, Cecil enjoyed hunting for arrowheads and collecting Indian relics. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing all types of card games and softball in his younger years.

Funeral services for Cecil L. Clark will be held at 11:00am Thursday, April 30, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Tim Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Church Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot County Home Health or a charity of the donors choice and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
