Carole J. Ziegler

Carole J. Ziegler, age 78, of Marion and formerly of Little Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:20pm at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Carole was born on April 24, 1937 in Blue Earth, Minnesota to Leonard and Adelaide (Boettcher) Krinkie, both of whom are deceased.  She was once married to Richard H. Ziegler, and he survives in Upper Sandusky.

She is survived by 3 children: Rhonda Frederick of Galion, Tracy Ziegler of Upper Sandusky, and Kurt Ziegler of Nevada.  3 grandchildren, Joshua (Jayme) Frederick, JoAnne (Rusty Vicars) Frederick, and Kurt Michael Ziegler, along with 3 great grandchildren Zackery and Erika Frederick, and Abigail Vicars.

Carole is also survived by a brother David (Mary) Krinkie of Fort Laramie, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael Ziegler, a brother Charles Krinkie, and 2 sisters, Jean Lewis and Evon Mork.

She was a 1955 graduate of Blue Earth High School, and after raising her children, she went on to further her education at The Ohio State University in Environment and Natural Resources, and also in obtaining her education to sell real estate.

Carole was a member of First Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky, and for hobbies she enjoyed painting, sewing and embroidery, vegetable gardening, canning and raising flowers.  She also had a love for animals, especially horses.

A memorial service for Carole J. Ziegler will be held at 1:30pm Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Steve Sturgeon officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday 1 hour before service time, 12:30pm to 1:30pm, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
