Carol Ann Pool, age 82, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and formerly of Harpster, and Englewood, Florida, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at her home in Upper Sandusky.
Carol was born on October 18, 1932 in Wyandot County, Ohio, to Herbert and Frances (Moffett-Bridge) Schwilk, both of whom are deceased. She married Roy L. Pool on May 6, 1956 in the Harpster United Methodist Church in Harpster, and he survives.
She is also survived by her children, Tammy Scott of Englewood, Florida, Tonia (Bill) Kitzler of Carey, and Todd (Sherry) Pool of Englewood, Ohio. 8 grandchildren; Stacy Morris, Heather Gault, Teresa Scott, Katie Simon, Zachary Kitzler, Bradley Kitzler, Michael Samartini and Kristen Samartini and 7 great grandchildren. And a brother James (Romaine Whitt) Schwilk of Harpster.
Carol retired in 1986 as an LPN having worked at the Wyandot County Nursing Home, and Fairhaven Community. Before that she started her work years at Kroger's, and owning and operating Carawana's Restaurant in Little Sandusky and Carol's Ceramics, along with her side businesses of Sara Coventry Jewelry, Avon and Tupperware.
Carol was a 1951 graduate of Harpster High School, and Tri-Rivers Adult Education where she received her LPN. She was a lifelong member of the Harpster United Methodist Church, member of the Democratic Committee, and served as a poll worker. She enjoyed time with friends, shopping, going to flea markets, watching HSN, and attending the Wyandot County Fair.
Memorial services for Carol Ann Pool will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, February 26, at the Harpster United Methodist Church, with Rev. Soo-Hea Park officiating.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service time at the church on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harpster U.M.C. or the Wyandot County Home Health Agency and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
